We are pleased to announce we have renewed our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with University Technology Brunei (UTB) on 21st September 2022.

The MOU was renewed between Petrokon Utama Sendirian Berhad (PUSB) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) championed by the Faculty of Engineering (FEng) yesterday.

Signing on behalf Petrokon Utama is our General Manager Corporate, Yang Mulia Haji Jamain bin Haji Md Lot, representing the Chairman signed for PUSB and witnessed by Yang Mulia Haji Amit bin Haji Abd Razak, the Corporate Human Resource Manager of PUSB. Meanwhile on behalf of UTB was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB; witnessed by Yang Mulia Mr Lim Chui Hua, Registrar and Secretary of UTB

This MoU is a renewal of a five-year MoU signed in 2017. Numerous mutual activities have taken place between UTB and PUSB over the last five years. This includes joint supervision of UTB Final Year Projects; PUSB as the award sponsor for the UTB Excellence Award Ceremonies in conjunction with UTB Convocation Ceremonies; industrial talks to FEng students and staff through the Faculty Lecture Series (FLS); engineering curriculum advisory through the faculty and Industry Advisory Board (IAB) members; and student internships through UTB ExperiencePLUS programme.

In this MoU, PUSB extends the invitation to UTB School of Business and the UTB School of Computing and Informatics to join the scope of collaboration. This collaboration enhances industry-academia partnership and ensures that the academic curriculum remains relevant and up to date, allowing the country to produce industry-ready graduates in accordance with Wawasan 2035’s needs and expectations.
