In November and December 2020, Petrokon Utama Sdn. Bhd. sponsored and presented the Best Final Year Project Award to students of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Politeknik Brunei (PB). Four (4) Engineering Graduates from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Three (3) Engineering Graduates from Politeknik Brunei (PB) were the recipients during the Excellence Award Ceremony and the Graduation Ceremony respectively. This is PETROKON’s corporate support in realizing the country’s Wawasan 2035, that is to make Brunei Darussalam widely recognised for the accomplishments of its educated and highly skilled people.

Attending as the Guest of Honour during the UTB’s Excellence Award Ceremony were the Minister of Energy, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md. Hussein and Vice Chancellor of UTB, Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman. On behalf of Petrokon Utama Sdn. Bhd., Haji Jamain Bin Haji Md. Lot, General Manager Corporate, handed over the award to The Minister of Energy, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md. Hussein who in turn presented the award to the recipients. Simultaneously, Best Final Year Project under Group Projects were also awarded to 2 graduates.

During the Politeknik Brunei (PB) Convocation Ceremony which was held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s Chancellor Hall, the session was graced by the Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman. Receiving the Petrokon Utama Sdn. Bhd.’s; Best Final Year Project were 3 graduates from Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering background.
