It is the policy of PETROKON to provide products and services in full compliance to our clients’ HSSE requirements. PETROKON has a fully installed and operational HSE management system comprising all the rules and instructions to control and coordinate activities within the PETROKON organization in order to ensure that, together with the QA Management System, the highest level of HSSE standard is achieved and maintained.

The HSSE Management System outlines Company policy and management, as well as employee responsibilities. It includes all the relevant aspects of safety management, safety training, occupational health, land transport, communications, and environmental protection.

Procedures also include those necessary to assure a similarly high standard of safety management within any of PETROKON’s sub-contractors.

PETROKON Environmental Management System (EMS) has also been certified by Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) based on the latest ISO Standard ISO 14001:2015 in 2019

Quality Management System (QMS)

PETROKON, as an Engineering Design consultant company, has established a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) which complies to ISO 9001 standard and requirements. PETROKON was the first Oil and Gas Engineering Design Consultant in Brunei Darussalam certified to ISO 9001 by the Independent Certification Body on 26th November 1993.

From year to year, PETROKON has continually improved the quality system to meet the needs of clients through an effective Quality Management System (QMS). The current PETROKON Quality Management System has been certified in accordance to the latest ISO 9001:2015 standard to demonstrate that PETROKON has a commitment to continually improve the products and services.

Q-PAKAT System as Proactive Quality Intervention Tool

PETROKON has developed and introduced the Q-PAKAT System since 2006. It is a methodology to systematically record quality intervention in Projects (Engineering Designs) which includes problem identification, analysis, discussion and agreed action. Q-PAKAT System aims to improve quality culture and awareness by encouraging all personnel to be more proactive on quality related matters and to have same responsibility to achieve the highest standard of quality for processes, products and services.
